Jamel Vaughn O.D.
Jamel Vaughn O.D. has received honors including two clinical letters of excellence, the Dr. Richard Ebling Excellence Award in Medically Necessary Contact Lenses, and Gold Key International Optometric Honor society for his service to the college and the community. In November 2014 after completing five clinical case reports and a thorough oral examination administered by a panel of leading optometrists, Dr. Vaughn became a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
He and his wife, Leslie, a registered oncology nurse and west Texas native have a son, Ryder and a daughter, Olivia. In his spare time he enjoys attending sporting events, playing basketball, golf, reading, and the arts. Dr. Vaughn is a passionate volunteer and enjoys serving his community in every way possible.
